TUESDAY, March 19 (IANS) -- A federal grand jury in San Diego has indicted a drug peddler who allegedly sold a powerful erectile dysfunction drug, Viagra, without a prescription. The alleged seller, a 33-year-old man who sold a Viagra pill to a drug wholesaler, has been charged in federal court.
The alleged seller, Thomas S. Siegel, 60, was indicted Wednesday in the U. S. District Court in San Diego, California.
The grand jury indictment alleges that Siegel sold the Viagra to a wholesaler, Pfizer Inc., in the United States for $6,000 and then sold it to Siegel through the drug wholesaler, Pfizer Inc. Siegel allegedly had a prescription for Viagra for which he was not licensed to sell it.
